Developing Screenprint

I have taken one of the screenprints I had made, and have worked ontop of it in an attempt to develop it further. At this moment in time, there isn't too much meaning behind the markings I have added. In order to exaggerate her facial features, and bring back the areas of her face that may have been lost in the process of printing. I have chosen to use two contrasting words: optimism and lost. The reason I used these words is due to the irony of the two together. A lot of people face the duality of these two emotions. You may feel lost at times, but the optimism you have with in you can carry you further.

I have purposefully used markings such as the small circles and the leaf. These two markings were taken from the ceramic piece I had worked with.

I think this piece has a long way to go. I like the inital beginning of the development, however, you can tell this was a quick experiment due to the undefined and unfinished look to it.
